These Magwells do not have the lip on the very front that catches your pinky.

Overall this does the job and it's definitely very well made. Fits good on the Gen 5 glock 19, looks awesome and most importantly, it covers up the stupid half moon cut out. Only qualm i have is they did not continue the funnel all the way around the magwell. the front portion has a little lip instead. It so far has not impeded the function of the magwell but it would have been nice to have the funnel go all the way around vs just being on the sides and back. Still a very solid piece though and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has a early model gen 5 with the half moon cutout.

I think myself like many people enjoy the concept and are invested in a glock 19. Also I think many people shoot the gen 5 models better than previous but struggle with the ergonomics. Many probably are wrestling with sticking with it vs completely moving to a glock 45 or another platform all together. While as those are certainly legitimate choices after installing the slr magwell I can say it dramatically improved the ergonomics of the gen 5 19. First by adding more surface are to the rear of the frame to make more contact with. Secondly by covering the cutout that hands tend to slide into or for larger hands can't avoid altogether. Also it adds just enough weight to add balance to the gun where it was needed. It feels much better. My control, stability and lockup on the gun is much improved. I will definitely be keeping my 19 as an edc after the success of this purchase. As for reloads it is better than before no problems even though there is a bit if a shelf where the cut out is that is not blended in or covered up on interior. This is minor and has caused zero mag change issues so far. The front outer lip of the magwell could be made to fit closer to the frame but still proves to be ergonomical as is. This is a good buy far better than the zev or dawson I have tried. It doesn't compromise the 19 as concealable to any major degree but does bring out the duty side of the gun a bit more. Buy with confidence.
Extremely happy with it. I originally bought the Brownells mag GLOCK GRIP ENHANCER. I was not happy with them they just didn't sit right. I returned them and ordered the SLR mag well and it fits perfectly feels great in the hands and is not too big for EDC. highly recommended! experience - Army vet and Police officer -
If you hate the half moon cutout if your gen 5 this is the solution. Fits perfect 30 sec install. Looks great and feels even better. You can’t go wrong.
