Lonmg story short, it's a true black melonite finish and looks really cool. Bought this and paired it with my dark/black dlc superlative arms titanium adjustable gas black and it mends super well with that and my black hbar flutted wylde barrel. Definitely recommend if you want the exposed parts insides of your handguard to have a singular look to it.
