Might be the winner
I wanted a magwell for my G19 Gen 3, and dug around for my options. Magpul's GL Enhanced Magwell is dirt cheap and lightweight, but has compatibility issues with certain floor plates. The same goes for Strike Industries' GEN3 Magwell, but that one's a lot uglier. Dawson Precision's ICE Magwell looked promising, but requires regularly changing out the plastic feed ramp inside the metal magwell, being geared towards competitive shooting. And NineX19's Enhanced Magwell seemed perfect, except for the fact that it is perpetually out of stock. Taran Tactical Innovations' Carry Magwell is fishy with OEM magazines, and Agency's Concealed Carry Tactical Magwell doesn't play well with 10-round magazines. That leaves SLR. Installation was drop-dead easy, and sure enough the SLR Gen 3 G19 Magwell works like a charm, making reloads for the gen 3 Glock's narrow frame magwell much easier to throw magazines into. Interestingly, I actually found that gen 5 10-round mags with the longer bull-nose floor plate have neither fitment nor seating issues. I own many gen 3 and gen 5 10-round OEM mags, and have tried reloads both with them loaded and unloaded. Despite experiences from past reviews and even the note in the product description, I've not had a single issue with SLR's magwell causing seating issues. I'm not sure if there was a change in the design recently, but it takes either generation perfectly fine for me. The SLR magwell might just be a winner. My only complaint with this magwell is just how soft the aluminum seems to be for how expensive it is, marring at even light impacts. But if you don't mind a little wear at the bottom, which you realistically shouldn't, then you should go ahead and pull the trigger on this magwell.
