    The Gold Standard

I've used several different adjustable gas blocks and the SLR Sentry is by far the best. After purchasing my first SLR Sentry, I won't buy any other gas block.

    Amazing

This thing worked flawlessly out of the box. Paired it with a geissele super 42 spring and buffer and the gun eats. If you are building an AR this is the adj gas block to use hands down no competition.

    Love it

Love the presets. Super easy for me to shoot whatever ammo I can find these days, brass, steel, aluminum, different weights, doesn’t matter just keep the wrench in your rifle bag and make a couple tweaks

    Sentry 7 clamp on

After installing these I would never be afraid to use an SLR clamp on. And they were sooooo easy to tune

    Adjustable Gas Block

Out of the package, on the gun, 10 clicks and all is great. Great product, works great on my AR10

Pros: -Fits inside a Geissele MK14 with a 1/10" to spare on the bottom. -Materials used are high quality. -Simple but effective design. -Easy to install. -Clamp-on > Set/Pinned. -Takes a TON of abuse before it seizes. -SLR customer service is top of the food chain. Cons: -Easy to over-tighten, use your brain and a torque wrench. Not your guessing skills. -Price -Hasn't given me more cons to include here. Worked wonders on a 308 build. Sentry7+RaptorSD CH and I can shoot my pig no glasses with my face right over top of the rail. Just bought another for a suppressed 10.3 ar15. Though a third screw would look bad in terms of aesthetics, I think it might be better for the design. (Less strain on bolts, even the pressure out on the barrel, increase surface area for more clamping force.) SLR: Please publish a study that compares clampon to set screw/pinned styles to shut up the naysayers. It's about time people are served some solid information on the subject.

First: The gas block is a great block, it works exactly as described with nice, positive clicks at each setting. The construction/craftsmanship is excellent, clearly a quality product. At the end of the day it is a gas block, so not much more else to be said about it. Second: SLR's customer service is awesome. Long story short: after about two years with the block the set screw seized up from not being used. Contacted customer service, got a prompt response, sent them my seized one, and about a week later I had a brand new sentry 7 sitting in my mail box. No questions, no hassle. Strongly recommend. As a side note, take the time to work your set screw in and out every now and then to avoid the seizing.

Very easy to install and I did not have any issues with aligning the block to the gas port. A simple trick is the use a credit card and draw a line down the barrel and the center of your barrel's gas port. The block has positive detents which allows for easy adjustments, which I am able to make with my suppressor in place. It does help to mitigate the gas blow back, when using the suppressor. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this for a 243 winchester build to turn down the gas pressure, which is higher on the 243. The brass was showing signs of overpressure, ripped rim, and was stove piping. The loads where well within the recommended published load data so that was not the issue. I adjusted the setting to 5 and problem solved. This gas block worked well with the midwest ss gen 2 rail for the dpms lr308 platform, and .750 gas block. This is my second sentry adjustable, and I see many more in the future. I also ordered the 8" 2mm allen head driver for my 15" rail and midlength gas system, works great to make adjustments.
