I had fitment problems. I have this block on a 0.936" bbl, with a Fortis Night Rail hand guard....at first it did not fit. The Fortis NR hand guard required modification to one of the guard openings to accommodate the leaf spring crew. I filed the offensive one opening larger and then "thinned" that guard section so that no contact with the screw for free floating. I chose to modify the hand guard instead of the screw. Make no mistake...this is a great gas block. The detente adjustment allows for crisp and positive settings for gas pressure. However, you may need to break out a file on your brand new handrail. I also had to remove the screw, detente and spring to get the handrail over the gas block and then re-assemble in place. Don't lose the detente! lol.

I cannot say enough about the SLR sentry 9. The gas block is a work of art, and works as good as it looks. It totally solved my over gassed 243 winchester that I custom built. No more ripped case rims, and the rifle shoots like a 22 long rifle. I have never used them in the past, but now I am a believer in adjustable gas blocks, and SLR is what I will use from now on. Its that good!

This thing is gorgeous, and the blue sheen of the leaf spring is eye catching once noticed, but doesn't stick out at all. Besides it being easier to pull a Cadillac through a front door than get the gas tube in, and it not fitting in the intrepid lite rail due to the screw that retains the leaf spring and SS detent, it's perfect. Nice audible clicks for adjustment, and again it's beautiful. Now I just have to take the screw head down a 1/32 of an inch and it'll be perfect.
